New bibs and burps

Hi everyone I must confess I am not the best at blogging but I am going to make it a priority. So much has been happening here especially with sauce making time.

Now that is over I would like to share with you some lovely new personalised bibs and burps available in my Etsy store.

Up first is the lovely personalised dinosaur set isn't it cute? It is available with your choice of first name (blue/green fabrics for boys and pink/green for girls) and is definitely one of my personal favourites.

Hello everyone

Well as Summer is now officially over here in Australia I look forward to some lovely Autumn weather just perfect for sewing and gardening at this time of year.

On my sewing table I have some gorgeous Tanya Whelan fabric so keep an eye out for some new creations coming shortly but for the moment I have been working with some gorgeous flannel fabrics one of which I have just finished and you will find listed in my Etsy store.

Christmas is coming!

Can't believe how quickly the months are turning over and soon we will start to see Christmas decorations in the shops and shopping centres! I am itching to retrieve all my Christmas wall hangings from the garage and start adorning the house - but I shall wait a little longer!
Christmas items are popping up at online stores so I have decided to make a start with my Christmas bibs for this year and I must say the fabric is just devine - cute santas, elves and reindeers just to mention a few.
You can find and purchase my Christmas bibs in my Etsy store or on my Facebook page where you can message me to purchase. Please remember to purchase early as some fabric will sell out and I will not be able to reorder and also allow turnaround and postage times to your location.
Below is just a few examples of baby bibs I have been making all are embroidered on the reverse side with the saying "My 1st Christmas and I have some other monograms designs available you can see them in my Etsy store too.

What a busy time it has been here at Thecabbagepatch!

Anzac Day 2013 - Lest We Forget

Today is April 25th a day when we pause to remember the fallen soldiers. Anzac Day was originally a day to remember the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who fought in World War I but nowadays it remembers those who fought in both World Wars, other conflicts and also peacekeeping missions. Dawn services are held in every Capital City across Australia and New Zealand and of course Gallipoli, Turkey (known as Anzac Cove) the site where many solders were killed or wounded in World War 1.

At each service the poem "The Fallen" is read and was written by Laurence Binyon in 1914 and below is just an extract.

"With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres,
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

To all the soldiers who were killed or wounded and to those still currently serving today we say thankyou.

Personalised burp cloths Shabby

With such a huge stash of gorgeous shabby fabrics I have now started making some lovely burp cloths! These are personalised too with your choice of first name and I have two different applique fonts to choose from. The first is a lovely patchwork font (yep I am a quilter at heart) and the second font uses a contrasting thread colour and a lovely stitch detail along with a different font for the name underneath. You can see the full range of shabby fabrics available on my Facebook page and you can order a burp cloth via my Etsy or Madeit stores. Matching personalised bib is available (store bought and embroidered by me) please ask if interested. This would make a lovely set for any new baby!

New bib and burp sets for February 2013

As well as orders I have been madly sewing some lovely bib and burp sets this month. I will show you just a few here the rest you can see in my Etsy or Madeit stores. The bib and burp sets above use a premade bib with velcro closure and the burp cloth is made from a hand towel. First up we have the lovely Sweet Heart set made up of a bib and burp set for girls and then the lovely Just Plane cute set for boys both of which are available in my Etsy store. Another lovely bib and burp set "Emily" available in pink/brown spot colourway for girls or blue/brown colourway for boys is available in my Etsy store as well.. Next month I will show you the new personalized and reversible bibs using Chevron fabric (my favourite)! Till then take care everyone!

New Baby bibs and burps for 2013

Hello everyone It's been a busy start to the year with lots of orders and I have been sewing lots of designs as well. Firstly I will show you some of the lovely orders I have been making and it is official I have made more for boys in the month of January than I have ever made before. Could 2013 be the year for boys? I certainly hope so as I have some lovely designs to test and show you over the coming months.

One lucky person will be chosen via Random.org to win one personalised and reversible baby bib with your choice of fabrics from here and your choice of first name. This bib will fit from newborn to 12 months of age approximately and postage to your location will be included. Last minute orders for Christmas

Well it's been a very busy time here at Thecabbagepatch Custom Creations! More baby bibs and burpee sets

Can you believe Christmas is less than a month away? Whilst I have been busy sewing Christmas orders I have also made some lovely new bib and burp sets which I thought I would share with you. Love, love the choices in fabrics and I hope you will too, the owls are still very popular at the moment. Both sets are available in my Etsy store in your choice of first name in either girls or boys.

To celebrate 600 followers on my Facebook page I have decided to have a giveaway! One lucky person will win 2 (two) personalised premade baby bibs and you can choose from any of the lovely character prints I have (link to facebook photo album is below). Bib will be made with a first name of your choosing (bib will fit from newborn to 12 months approx is made from polyester/cotton with velcro closure) and you will be able to choose which font and lowercase you like. Below is just a few samples using Spongebob fabric, Strawberry Shortcake fabric, Dora fabric etc.

In order to celebrate reaching 500 likers on my Facebook page I thought it was time for a giveaway! So I searched high and low through my fabric stash and made this lovely Christmas baby bib - My 1st Christmas! The bib is premade (two layers of polyester/cotton with velcro closure) and will fit from newborn to approximately 12 months of age and maybe longer!
I have appliqued and embroidered this bib using the fabric and thread colours as seen. I have then made and sewn some matching bias binding to finish the bib. So how do you win this bib? First you need to be a liker of my Facebook page (please remember to like from your personal page not your business page) then you need to visit my Christmas bib album for 2012 and tell me which bib you like and you will receive one entry into the draw.
